Bienen - Ein Volk und seine Königin
Um ein Kilogramm Honig zu sammeln, fliegen Bienen etwa 150.000 Kilometer - das entspricht fast vier Erdumrundungen - und finden dennoch immer wieder in den heimischen Bienenstock zurück. Dieser einzigartige Orientierungssinn der Bienen ist bislang allerdings noch weitgehend unerforscht. Die Tiere sind aufgrund ihrer Bestäubungstätigkeit ein unentbehrlicher Bestandteil unseres Ökosystems, der von ihnen produzierte Honig ist für den Menschen nur ein süßes Nebenprodukt. Der Film von Eva Maria Berger begleitet Yasmin Zwinz. Sie unterrichtet das Fach Imkerei an Landwirtschaftsschulen in Niederösterreich. Für sie sind die Bienen Persönlichkeiten mit unterschiedlichsten Charakteren - und dabei hochsensibel.
